Anya Boroditsky of DezAnya Jewelry Designs designs and hand-makes her collection in her studio in New York's Diamond District as well as in her home studio in Summit, New Jersey.

Her path into jewelry profession was circuitous. While pursuing a corporate career in sales and marketing, she was drawn to the world of jewelry. Captivated by the endless variety of gem colors, textures and shapes, she toyed with idea of turni­ng them into unique and wearable art pieces. Learning about basic jewelry making in her spare time, the need for professional training became apparent, leading to apprenticeships and eventually full-time positions as a bench jeweler.

Anya's design philosophy is simple: The world has seen enough traditional and predictable jewelry. Inspired by everything irregular and unusual, she sources unique gems and puts them in hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind settings. Her pieces have an organic and artisanal feel to them, which she feels makes them more personal and wearable.
