A handmade Sterling Silver necklace purchased on vacation when Sylvia de Martino was twelve began her lifelong love affair with silver. She was mesmerized by this lustrous metal as it reflected the summer sun. This started her search for unique, handmade and well-made solid silver jewelry … which wasn’t always easy to find. 

For decades, while working as a graphic designer in New York City, she sketched jewelry designs in the margins of her notebooks during the workday, and took jewelry-making courses at night. Then in 2020, she founded HennyAlbert, a Hoboken, New Jeresy-based company named after her parents, Henny and Al, who bought her that first silver necklace (and always encouraged her passion for design).

With the launch of the line, she’s designed a collection of solid Sterling Silver jewelry that embodies characteristics that she loves to wear: handmade, unusual, modern, chic, and timeless that's versatile for both casual and formal wear.
